About: Cēb bah hēp takes viewers on a journey deep into the Malaysian rainforest, exploring the struggle of the Bateks in maintaining their ancient way of life and relationship with the forest. Despite surviving for thousands of years as hunter-gatherers, we still do not know much about them, and this will be the first ever exhibition dedicated to the Bateks. The outdoor exhibition will take place in Taman Tugu (Nursery Trail) in the evening where visitors are able to trek and at the same time they will be greeted by photos that illustrate the life of the Bateks.

VR Demonstration | 09.12.2018 @ Kongsi KL

About: This exhibition is a platform for us to introduce the concept of using VR and technology in curating art exhibitions and setting up small scale independent museums. On a smaller scale, we hope to gather feedback on how we can improve the exhibition.

Challenges: Preparing for our first exhibition at Kongsi KL and leading up to the end of the exhibition was a steep learning curve. With little experience on VR, we had to improvise and make do with whatever equipment that we have mainly for VR content. While we were in the dense Royal Belum forest, one of the technical challenges were the difficulty to capture a 60m Tualang with a cheap 360° camera that heats up when used for more than 5 minutes.
